| The Original Sports Card and Memorabilia Show Longest-Running Vintage Sports Card and Memorabilia Show The Strongsville Sports Collectors Convention (SSCC) is recognized by hobby enthusiasts as one of the premier annual events for rare and vintage sports cards and memorabilia. The convention began as the Ohio Sports Collectors Convention in 1978 and is the longest-running show in the country for vintage sports cards and memorabilia. Thousands from Coast to Coast Flock to Strongsville Every Year Fans of the hobby gather at SSCC each year for the most important 3-day event in vintage sports cards and memorabilia. Thousands make the trek to see the top vintage sports dealers, authenticators and auction houses all in under one roof, as well as gathering with friends from around the country who share a passion for the "stuff". The Country's "Best of the Best" Vintage Dealers SSCC features an exclusive group of the best vintage dealers from around the country. The convention is sought after by dealers as an important annual market to sell to and buy from a large and enthusiastic audience. As a result, the SSCC always has a waiting list of dealers who want to participate and show at the convention. Free Appraisals of Memorabilia and Cards For those attendees who want to better understand the value of items or collections they own, we have many capable dealers and auction houses who can provide expert, "on the spot" appraisals for your items. Attendees should plan to bring their items and tap into the wealth of knowledge and experience available for free at the convention. On-Site Sports Card Grading Submissions SGC will be on site to accept card submissions for off-site grading and encapsulation. If you take advantage of this expert service, y our graded cards will be returned to you after the show in an encapsulated, tamper-evident case. Inside the case will be a label showing grading information about the card and a certification number. This is a paid service. On-Site Autograph Authentication Services Attendees who want expert authentication of their autographed memorabilia are encouraged to bring their items to the convention. James Spence Authentication (JSA) will examine your submission and provide an LOA for any autogragh that passes their stringent authentication process. This is a paid service. Player Appearances and Autograph Signings The Strongsville Sports Collectors Convention has relationships with important athletes in every major sport. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet their favorite players and get their memorabilia autographed by the athletes themselves. Player appearance announcements are published one month prior to the convention.
